It is not yet clear what happened between the two prompting the young lady to stab the teenager to death on Wednesday night. However, the spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force, ModouMusa Sisawo, Thursday morning confirmed the arrest of the young lady who allegedly stabbed the teenage boy in Brufut, West Coast Region.
According to the police, the Anti-Crime Unit of the Gambia Police Force effected the arrest of the lady.
“The Anti-Crime Unit of Brufut has on Wednesday, November 29, arrested a twenty-three-year-old lady for the alleged murder of a fourteen-year-old boy in Brufut,” a statement from the police revealed.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer further advised the public to handle the matter with high sense of responsibility as investigations proceeded.
“While the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident is ongoing, the public is strongly encouraged to resort to appropriate measures of handling disputes,” he stressed.
He called on the general public to provide the police with any information about the tragic incident.
