Santa Yallah FC Receives Cash Prize of D, 5000 as Winners of Elimination Junior Tournament

As winners of Elimination Junior Tournament, Santa Yalla FC received a cash prize of D5, 000 while Sibkarrane United received a consolidated prize of D4000. Referees and other deserving players were also awarded. 

 The losers of the Nawettan Junior Nawetta of Tujereng Sports Committee, Santa Yalla last Saturday were crowned champions of the elimination tournament at Tujereng football field.

The captain of Santa Yalla FC opened the scoresheet in 18 minute of the game that gave way for his teammate, SulaymanMarena to double the lead in the additional time of the first half game.

This made it difficult for Sibkarrane United to survive in the game after losing several goal chances in the first half of the game.

Despite Sibkarrane United were refreshed during the break their central midfield was sloppy for them to break the dead luck.

However, Omar Joof tripled the lead for Santa Yalla FC in the 80 minute of the game to lift the trophy of councilor   BotoBojang   , making it impossible for Sibkarrane boys to level the score line.  

Speaking to Voice Sports, the head coach of Sibkarrane, Musa Juwara said that Santa Yalla were the favorites, noting that they played well and they deserved the victory. 

He also said that he team is passing through the trauma of the death of one of their forward players and his team will certainly bounce back next year.

The head coach of Santa Yalla, Sanna Joof on his part thanked his fans and players, noting that his team has toiled to reach the final.

He disclosed that he is hoping to win many trophies in the upcoming tournaments.
