Hundreds of mourners on Wednesday paid their last respects to the former commander of the Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) Commissioner Gorgui Mboob.
Commissioner Mboob passed away on Wednesday after battling a long illness.
The upper echelons of the Gambia Police Force, including the IGP, commanders of the ACU, the paramilitary and commissioner of operations were among the hundreds of Gambians and non-citizens, who turned out at Ebo Town, to accompany the late ACU commander to his resting place.
The minister of defense was also in attendance.
Glowing tributes have been paid to the late ACU chief by his former colleagues and civilians, who knew him.
