President Adama Barrow has freed Momodou Sabally, NjoguBah, Amadou Colley, Sira Wally Ndow, and her spouse BasiruNjie from the ban placed on them by the Janneh Commission, this medium has gathered from reliable sources.
In 2021, President Adama Barrow accepted the recommendations of the Janneh Commission for the five individuals to be banned from holding public office for aiding and abetting former President Yahya Jammeh to steal from public coffers.
Former secretaries general and heads of the civil service Momodou Sabally and Njogu were banned from holding public office for the rest of their lives. Former Central Bank governor Amadou Colley was banned from occupying public office for 10 years.
When contacted, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Presidency Amie Bojang hinted that the lifting of the ban on the five individuals was news to her.
