Saudi nationals no longer need visas to enter The Gambia following the extension of visa exemption to the nationals of the Gulf State by the government of the West African nation.
The Gambia government said on Wednesday that its decision to allow Saudi citizens to enter the country without a visa was based on the “excellent” relations between Banjul and Riyadh and in furtherance of efforts to woo more Saudis for investment, trade, and tourism.
It anticipates that the decision would further lubricate the cozy relations between The Gambia and Saudi Arabia as well as strengthen coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries to “achieve the noble objectives and aspirations of their respective leaders”.
“The implementation of this decision with immediate effect is being announced simultaneously by both countries as is usually done in such cases,” announced Gambia’s foreign ministry yesterday.
