The CEO of GACH Global Dr. AbubakaryJawara has donated to the Farato Sports Association for the hosting of their annualNoran Football Tournament.
The main objective of the sponsorship is to optimally utilize sports to promote peace, unity, and social cohesion in the community.
It could be recalled that Dr. Jawara had also previously sponsored so many football tournaments in the country.
“This is as a tool to promote social development and encourage youth participation in the country’s democratic process,” Dr. Jawara, an icon in supporting community-driven initiatives, said.
He said his company is committed to ensuring that it provides timely community interventions in responding to the needs of the people of The Gambia.
“We are doing all this to contribute our quota in national development. I could have kept our profit in the banks but there is this spirit telling me that that is not good, especially in a country where the majority of its people are poor,” he said.
He said the company wants to focus its energy on developing the young people of the country.
“We believe that if the youths are employed,we will have a society of vibrant future leaders who live peacefully and harmoniously together,” he said.
He pointed out that the future of the country relies heavily on its youth but without the right guidance, the young will not be able to take up that responsibility.
