President Barrow Is Guarantor of Gambia’s Peace-CM Cham

By: Momodou Justice Darboe

The NPP’s chief propagandist Lamin Cham has asserted that President Adama Barrow is a guarantor of peace in The Gambia and therefore urged Gambians to rally behind the President to promote peace and cohesion in the country.

“Fellow Gambians, Adama is a personification of our collective peace. So, let’s follow him for the sake of peace in The Gambia. Let us unite, speak, and walk peace,” CM Cham said on Sunday as Gambians descended on Buffer Zone to celebrate President Barrow’s peace award.

It would be recalled that the Gambian leader late last year emerged as the winner of the covetous Africa Peace Prize Award.

“What Allah willed will prevail and what He wills must be accepted. Every human being should endeavor harder to have good attributes. The life you lead here is what is going to be recounted of you in the hereafter. I’m saying this because we have a leader, whose great qualities, have been recognized by all in this country,” underscored the NPP’s chief strategist.

According to CM Cham, the peace that President Barrow radiates has guaranteed freedom for every citizen.

“Because of his good-naturedness, everyone is enjoying unrestricted freedom in this country. He has guaranteed freedom for everyone. So, Gambians, you must be grateful if you have such a leader,” Cham pointed out. He added: “It’s because of peace that we are gathered here today. It’s through peace that our children go to school and it’s through peace that we can tend to our families and go to work. Then, peace is everything. This is why whatever you do, do it right. Doing things right breeds good things. So Gambians, let’s radiate peace. Let us emulate our leader and take lessons from his good attributes and by so doing, peace will always reign in this country.”

The NPP campaign manager asserted that the President always wishes the best for The Gambia.

“Not long ago, he called for a national dialogue of all political parties and civil society so that we can align our aspirations for the best interest of this nation. Therefore, he would not do things that would be destructive to this country. I have never witnessed such a dialogue since I entered politics in 1996,” said Cham.
