Family in Lower Court for AllegedlyFlouting High Court Order

Three members of a family in Brikama Nyambai appeared at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court sometime this week for their alleged disobedience of a high court order.

Binta Jallow, Alasana Jallow, and Ramatoulie Jallow have been accused of deliberately disobeying a high court order for the reopening of a Madarassa situated at BrikamaNyambai.

The prosecution also alleged that the family wilfully and unlawfully damaged the walls of the Brikama NyambaiMadarassa. The walls, valued at D70,000, were allegedly damaged on March 13.

They denied the allegations.

The case, presided over by Principal Magistrate Anna O. Mendy, resumes on March 28th.

ASP Buteh Sawaneh will represent the IGP in the trial.
