Jamsai Family Foundation of Kotu, a charity foundation established in 2023 to support the needy and most underprivileged people in society over the weekend donated some clothing items to different members of families in Lower Badibou.
Their donation formed part of humanitarian support and by extension complimented the teaching of Islam.
Speaking in Chogen Fula and Chogen Misira communities in Lower Badibou, Ma’am Amie Jammeh, Executive Director of the Foundation said the move aimed at following in the footsteps of their late grandmother, Ma’am Sarjo Ceesay, who valued sharing and caring for the underprivileged people in society.
She disclosed that the donation of second-hand clothing, shoes, and learning materials to families, would help to address problems faced by some families.
She hailed family members and friends for their moral support in the collection and donations of the materials.
Mr. Momodou Sowe, Alkalo, and Mariama Kuyateh on behalf of the women of Chogen Fula and Ebou Ndow on behalf of beneficiaries of Chogen Misira of Lower Badibou thanked the donor for the humanitarian assistance.
Demba Sanyang, the husband of the donor said the move was meant to strengthen the teaching of the Holy Quran while thanking the JAMSAI Family Foundation for the foresight in providing much-needed support to people.
The donated materials included 19 bags of used clothes, shoes, ladies’ bags, and books.
