Kebba Camara was recently arraigned before Magistrate K.B. Sambou of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
Cadet ASP M Jarju represented the prosecution while the accused was not represented during the plea taking.
The accused stood to defend the charge of stealing from a person contrary to section 256 of the criminal code cap 10:01 volume III Laws of The Gambia 2009.
According to the charge sheet, Kebba Camara stole a mobile phone marked Samsung, valued at D8,000.00 from KutuboCamara’s bag at the Brikama garage on the 26th March 2024.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge. The matter was adjourned to 23rd April for the beginning of the trial
