Distinguished international civil servant and world-class Pan-Africanist, Prof. Plo Lumumba has accepted to attend an upcoming book launch in The Gambia, a book written by award-winning Gambian writer Modou Lamin Age-Almusaf Sowe.
The invitation to the distinguished international famous motivational speaker read “We are excited to invite you to the launch of “AfriKa, Not AfriCa,” a poetry collection by Gambian writer Modou Lamin Age-Almusaf Sowe. The event will take place on May 11, 2024, at the OIC Conference Centre in Banjul, The Gambia, from 3-7 p.m. GMT.” This invitation he has accepted.
The special guests for the launch are Prof. Plo Lumumba from Kenya, Mr. Anthony ‘Penboss’ Onugba, Founder of Writers Space Africa (WSA), and H.E. Madam First Lady Madam Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow.
Mr. Modou Lamin Age-Almusaf Sowe, the writer of the about-to-launch book has called on book lovers and listeners of the motivational speaker to join the line of celebrities and VIPs to celebrate African languages, development, and governance, as well as the rich culture and values of the African people.
His poetry challenges the traditional spelling of Africa and advocates for a united continent under the name AfriKa. The book was published in 2020 by Ukiyoto Publishing in Canada and won the Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest in Texas, USA.
