The Foni Kansala representative in the National AssemblyAlmame Gibba, has vowed to go down the legal lane with the Gambia government over what, he called, the illegal sale and embezzlement of Jammeh’s assets if the former President greenlights it.

The Gambia government has yet to provide an exhaustive inventory of Jammeh’s assets as well as the accurate figure accrued from the sale of his property.

“If I got the power of attorney [from Jammeh], this governmentwill cry out. I will pursue it and I am still connecting to Jammeh. It’s him who would decide. If he wants it, fine,” fumed legislator Gibba in an interview on King FM Felarango morning show.

“I am ever-ready and if he gives me the go-ahead, you will hear in the headlines that the Foni Kansala NAM has sued the government for the illegal sale of Jammeh’s assets or embezzlement of his assets. This [sale of Jammeh’s assets] is the highest order of dishonesty. It’s not transparent,” he added.
