The Ministry of Public Service, Administrative Reforms, Policy Coordination and Delivery on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 convened a daylong data inventory project workshop held at Ocean Bay Hotel in Cape Point, Bakau.

The primary aim of the engagement was to foster collaboration among stakeholders and provide clarity on the project’s objectives as presented by the consultant.

Through meticulous mapping of data points across various ministries, the overarching goal is to streamline data synchronization and enhance service delivery.

The workshop served as a platform for establishing contacts with focal persons from each ministry, a critical step towards ensuring seamless project implementation in the future.

Looking ahead, the consultants will sustain their engagement with the ministries, fostering continued collaboration and cooperation. In the forthcoming weeks, the team will embark on data collection activities, marking a significant stride towards achieving the project objectives. Additionally, as part of knowledge transfer, the team will also engage in similar activities, collect data, and conduct interviews for the Ministry of Public Service.

By the conclusion of the consultancy, the Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) aims to comprehensively map the data points within the ministries, enhancing their understanding of data flows and information management practices.

The workshop marks the beginning of an exciting journey towards modernizing and optimizing data management practices within the ministries. The MoPS remains committed to fostering a culture of transparency, efficiency, and innovation as we advance this crucial initiative.

Participants were drawn from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology, and Ministry of Public Service.
