The CEO of GACH Global Group AbubakaryJawara on Friday inaugurated a Mosque dubbed Ajaratou Fatou Kabba at his Bakau residence. Attended by President Adama Barrow, the inauguration brought together senior scholars, religious leaders, Imams, and senior government functionaries.
The GACH CEO Dr Abubakary Jawara said the Mosque is not just a place of worship but of unity, harmony, and progress. He said the Mosques are part of his contribution to promoting Islam in the Gambia.
Also, speaking at the inauguration, President Adama Barrow thanked Dr. Jawara for inviting him to the inauguration, demonstrating how much he (Jawara) appreciates him (Barrow). He said Jawara is a great son of the Gambia who is contributing immensely to the social economic development of the country and a great supporter of his government.
According to the President, Dr. Jawara has demonstrated it not just by mouth but in all aspects. “So, I can only appreciate his effort and support,” he said. President Barrow also expressed gratitude to the entire Sarahulecommunity and Gambians at large.
All the speakers at the inauguration commended Dr. Jawara for his steadfast and strong commitment to promoting Islam and social cohesion in the Gambia. “Jawara has touched many lives in this country through his philanthropic adventures and other initiatives,” one of them said.
