Yahya Sanyang, Alagie Sanyang, and Dumbuya Sanyang were on Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate K.B. Sambou of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for allegedly pelting one Muhammed Sanneh with stones on the head thereby causing him actual bodily harm.
The alleged assault, according to the charge sheet, happened at Brikama Daru Hairu.
The trio pleaded not guilty to the charge when the charge sheet was read to them.
Consequently, they were each granted bail in the sum of D50,000 and each must provide one surety in the like sum.
Cadet ASP M. Jarju appeared for the prosecution while the accused persons were not represented.
The case was adjourned to 3rd June.
Meanwhile, the relevant section of the law provides that any person, who commits an assault, occasioning actual bodily harm, is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for five years.
