Abdoulie Drammeh, a taxi driver and residence of Brikama Nema who drove, Ousainou Bojang and Amie Bojang suspected of shooting police officers, Pateh M. Jallow and Sang J. Gomez yesterday testified before Justice Ebrima Jaiteh of the high court in Banjul explaining in detail who he came to know the alleged killers of the police officers.
In his brief testimony, Mr. Drammeh recalled being hired by Amie Bojang to drive her to Brufut where they picked up the first accused, Ousainou Bojang for Brikama.
He asserted that upon their arrival at Brikama, the first accused, (Amie Bojang) told the second accused (Ousainou Bojang) to take a car from the garage, but Mr. Bojang told her he was advised by a police officer not to go to a public place.
“The second accused (Amie Bojang) then told me to drive them to Darsilimah and upon our arrival, we stopped at a bicycle mechanic then the second accused alighted from the vehicle. Then later, Ousainou Bojangtook a motorcycle then I returned back to Brikama with Amie Bojang,” Mr. Drammeh who is also the state ninth witness told the court.
Further establishing his role in the matter, the witness further testified that upon their return to Brikama, Amie Bojang boarded a taxi then he proceeded to his work.
He however, told the presiding judge, Justice that he could not remember the date but he believed it was eight months ago.
