Tallinding North councillor Babucarr Mansally and his partner “Serhumano” donated hospital beds, gowns, gloves and face masks to neighboring hospitals. They also donated learning materials to nursery school children.
The handing over took place in Talinding at the Councillor’s office.
The hospitals that benefitted from the donation included the Bundung Maternal and Child Hospital (BMCH), Serrekunda Hospital, Ndemban Clinic, Kasanyang Hospital in Foni and other neighboring hospitals.
Growing Seeds Nursery School also benefited from the school supplies.
Speaking at a ceremony organized to distribute the items, councillor Mansally said: “As we distribute these essential items, let us remember that our strength lies in our unity. By working together, we can overcome any challenge and build a brighter future for our community. Our combined efforts ensure that our hospitals are better equipped to save lives and our schools are better prepared to educate the leaders of tomorrow.
The Director of Growing Seeds Nursery School, Saikou Leigh, thanked councillor Mansally for the “generous” donation to his school.
“Your support will make a significant impact on our educational journey. The new materials will not only enhance the learning environment but they will also inspire both students and teachers. Your kindness and commitment to education serve as a powerful reminder of the positive difference one individual can make in a community,” he said.
“To my fellow students from different schools, I want to take this opportunity to admonish each and every one of you to take your studies seriously as education is the only way out. To our parents, do all what you can to invest in your children’s education today for tomorrow,” added Leigh.
The National Assembly Member for BundungkaKunda, Sulayman Jammeh, graced the occasion with his presence and he thanked Mr. Mansally
