The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of The Gambia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday in Banjul to enhance cooperation in higher education.
Morocco’s Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, AbdellatifMiraoui, and Gambian Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology, Pierre Gomez, signed the agreement.
This MoU is part of Morocco’s initiative, titled “Plan for Accelerating the Transformation of the Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Ecosystem” (PACTE ESRI-2030).
This initiative aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices and experiences, promote student and researcher mobility, and strengthen human capital development.
It also focuses on improving cross-disciplinary teaching, particularly in digital skills and information technology.
During the signing ceremony, Minister Miraouiemphasized that human capital is central to Morocco’s strategic priorities. He stated that this partnership aligns with Morocco’s broader vision of cooperation with other countries.
