The event was attended by Ahmed Belhaj, Chargé d’Affaires of the Moroccan Embassy in The Gambia, and other delegation members.

This agreement follows a similar recent initiative between the two countries. Last week, in Rabat, an agreement was signed to promote and protect the rights of women, children, and vulnerable populations.

Morocco’s Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family, Aawatif Hayar, and Gambia’s Minister of Women’s Affairs, Children, and Social Welfare, Fatou Sanyang Kinteh, officiated that ceremony.

The agreement aims to enhance training initiatives and foster expertise exchange in the social action sector.

These agreements reflect the growing collaboration between Morocco and The Gambia. In late May, Gambian Foreign Minister MamadouTangara visited Morocco and acknowledged the strong ties between the two nations.

In a statement to the press, he said that he appreciated Morocco’s support for the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit to be hosted by The Gambia. Tangarareiterated his country’s commitment to collaboration and the shared goal of a unified and prosperous Africa.

He also highlighted the importance of the Royal Initiative for the Atlantic, a Moroccan-led effort to promote regional stability and prosperity.-Source .moroccoworldnews.com
