A certain Ousman Jallow appeared before Principal MagistrateSallah M’bai of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on on Tuesday on suspicion of stealing potatoes from the Palma Rima Women’s Garden.
The court heard that Ousman on 30 June 2024, at Palma Rima Women’s Garden in the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), was found stealing bags of potatoes of an unknown value.
The potatoes, according to court records, belonged to one Nyima Saidy.
He denied criminal liability when the charge sheet was read to him.
Meanwhile, to enable him enjoy his liberty as the case proceeds, he was granted D10,000 court bail. He must providea surety of Gambian nationality as part of the bail requirements.
The case resumes on July, 20th for full hearing.
