The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC)has unveiled the names of Gambians, who will represent The Gambia, in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The athletes were selected after meeting the thresh-hold and among them is the Gambia’s track queen Gina Mariam Bass-Bittaye, who flew Gambia’s flag high in several international competitions notably the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics games.
The Gambia will be also watching out for Faye Njie as he represents the country in Judo for the Paris Olympics. Faye qualified for the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
The new 100m men’s record holder Ebrima Camara, who represented The Gambia in the Tokyo Games, has made it to the Paris Games and will be competing under the athletics category.
Swimmer Ousman Jobe will debut in the 2024 Paris Olympics under the swimming category while AminataNa-Maria Barrow will also compete under the same category.
Athlete Sanu Jallow has also earned a spot for himself in the Paris Olympics while Alasan Ann looks forward to representing The Gambia for the first time in theTaekwondo competition.
