The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court has given a D500,000 bail to one Sheikh Omar Ceesay following his denial of the accusation of being found in possession of 50g of marijuana.
The particulars of the offense state that Sheikh Omar on or about12 July 2024, at Sanchaba in the Kanifing Municipality, had in his possession 50g of Cannabis Sativa.
To enable him to gain his liberty as the case proceeds, Sheikh Omar must provide three Gambian sureties, who shall be sworn to an affidavit.
The case, presided over by Magistrate Thomas Touray, was adjourned to 13 August 2024.
