The staff union of the MRC-Gambia is planning to embark on an industrial action on October 2 over unmet demands, reports reaching The Voice intimated.
The MRC stations in Fajara, Keneba, Farafenni, Basseand Soma have all endorsed their participation in the planned strike action.
The MRC workers’ union has reportedly reneged on the earlier promise it made to the staff nearly a year ago such as the establishment of a staff health facility in the provincial town of Farafenni, review of the education allowance for the staff between grades 4 and 1, standardization of coordinator grade and the unfinished job evaluation process.
