Gambian Entrepreneurs Exposed to Turkish Business Cooperation

The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), with Turkish counterparts, on Thursday, 29th August 2024, organiseda seminar to establish and expatriate business relationships between The Gambia and Turkey.

The forum spearheaded by the World Cooperation Industries (WCI) Forum brought together young Gambian entrepreneurs to enlighten them about business opportunity cooperation in Turkey. The organised forum will take place in Turkey between the 16th and 17th of October 2024 and it will bring together entrepreneurs from 54 countries to interact directly with producers in Turkey.

Fatou Senghore, chairperson of Gambia Turkish Business Council at The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed delight in hosting the seminar saying it will serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth across various industries.

“As a Chamber dedicated to the growth and development of business in The Gambia, the GCCI believes that events like this play a crucial role in fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth across various industries. The seminar brought together some of the leading experts to share their knowledge, experience, and prospects of the evolving landscape of global industries,” she addressed the World Industries Seminar held at the GCCI office in Bijilo.

She acknowledged the business community for strive to advance the business activities within the Gambia and beyond.

Mr Utku Bengisu, president of the World Industries Cooperation Forum, said this year’s industries’ forum will be held in October and provide opportunities for direct interface.

“The World Cooperation Industries Forum will take place on 16 and 17 October 2024. The goal of the forum is to introduce future business prospects to Turkish manufacturing companies. 

Foreign entrepreneurs can participate in the forum and find products of high quality at the right place and time. They will cooperate directly with producers without agents. The Turkish producers, service providers, and new technologies may help to grow foreign businesses through cooperation agreements,” he assured.

Fahri Turker Oba, the Turkish Ambassador to The Gambia, assured participants of Turkish companies’ readiness to collaborate with the Gambian entrepreneurs. He said The Gambia has the potential to grow its business sector.
