Musa Ndow, the president of Serekunda West Sports Committee, said they are staging D185,000.00 for this year’s Nawettan season for both the league and the knock-out
He disclosed that the league winners would be awarded a cash prize of D90,000.00, while the knock-out winners would be given a whooping D60,000.00, and the Super Cup winner was awarded D35,000.00.
He made this revelation during an exclusive interview with The Voice newspaper on Wednesday, 11th September 2024.
He further stated that Africell sponsors the 40-team Nawettanleague cup, and the knock-out is sponsored by the Wave money application.
“The Super Cup is sponsored by the late Alkali of LatrikundaYiringany, Mr. Alagie Kemo Faal, who passed away but is now taken over by his sons, the Faal Kunda Family,” he informed during the interview.
He praised the teams’ compliance with the rules and regulations of the Nawettan since its onset.
