An alleged fraudster Lamin Demba was on Thursday arraigned before Magistrate K.B Sambou of the Brikama Magistrates Court.
A resident of Brikama, Lamin was alleged to have obtained D250,000 from one Bambo Njieon the pretext of selling him a plot of land situated at Brikama Medina, measuring 20m x 20m.
He pleaded not guilty when the chargesheet was read to him and was consequently remanded on a D250,000 bail bond.
Lamin must also produce a surety in the like sum to enable him to gain his liberty as the case proceeds.
The case was then adjourned to 23 September 2024, for the commencement of the hearing.
Inspector Fadera is representing the Inspector General of Police in the matter while the accused had no legal representation.
