Despite securing its two yellow cards in the first half of the match, the Kafuta United Team still defeated its opponent, Sohmteam 2-0 to win in the ongoing Kombo East District Tournament played in Faraba Kairaba on Sunday 22 September 2024.
After Sohm had played so well with over ten Corner kicks in the first half while Kafuta had two cards without a corner kick, Kafuta United was still able to change the tempo of the game in the second half to defeat its opponent.
Omar Jarju, the number 10 player of Kafuta United, scored the first goal in 53 minutes of playtime by heading the ball into the Net while Jung Conteh, the number 15 player of Kafuta United later rounded it up with another goal to double the figure.
At the final whistle of the match, Omar Jarju was crowned Man of The Match with a cash prize of D500 and a certificate sponsored by Prince Empire Group.
However, both the goal scorers received yellow cards in the first 45 minutes of the match, though this did not stop their efforts in scoring goals to win the match leading them to the quarter-final of the tournament.
