Tujereng Youth under the leadership of Chairperson, FabakaryMarena last Sunday embarked on clearing a 200-meter square along the coastal area of Tujereng Village in the West Coast Region.

The clearing of the space was carried out by over a hundred youths and it is meant for a multi-purpose center for the Tujereng community.

Speaking at the clearing exercise the Public Relations Officer of Tujereng Sports Committee, Musa Jatta said over the past decades the youths of Tujereng were hoping to have a Multi-Purpose Center where they can exhibit their talents ranging from football, volleyball, handball, tennis ball, athletic and many other sporting games.

He expressed delight saying they are “happy to call this place our own. We are the future of The Gambia and this land belongs to the community of Tujereng,”, PRO Jatta noted.

However, he thanked the youths for their participation in the clearing of the space, noting that the necessary documentation of the land would be done with the village alkalo.
