Going Armed In Public’ Lands Man in Trouble

One Pamajama Cham was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Isatou O. Njie of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on allegationof going armed in public.

According to the particulars of the offence, Pamajama on or about 24 September 2024, at New Jeshwang, was found in possession of a cutlass in public, causing terror to the public.

When the charge sheet was read to him, he denied the charge, prompting the prosecution to apply for an adjournment to enable it secure its witnesses.

Magistrate Njie meanwhile granted the accused a D20, 000.00 bail.

The case was adjourned to 8 October 2024, for the commencement of hearing.

CPL 6627 Darboe represented the IGP whilst the accused was unrepresented.
