Proceedings of the Local Government Commission of Inquiry (LGCI) were on Monday brought to screeching halt following a power outage.
This was not the first time that the LGCI proceedings were brought to an abrupt stop due to issues with power.
Before the adjournment of Monday hearings, the commission was relying on a generator to conduct its business but it went dead at around 2 pm.
The adjournment followed the adducing of testimonies by two witnesses.
The standby generator could not be also used due to reasons unknown to this reporter.
LGCI is currently holding its proceedings at the Djembe Hotel.
