Star Boys FC last Sunday 29th September 2024 were held to a goalless draw by Penchaf FC in their third game of the season after registering two win in succession in the Serrekunda West Sports Development Organisation’s Summer Nawettan in a game played at the Serekunda West Mini Stadium.
As expected in derby games, the two teams had a night to remember as it was a well contested affair with both sides defending well.
Sainey Tamba, Head Coach, Star Boys FC, noted it was not a bad game because his boys tried a lot but couldn’t score and equally didn’t allow their opponents to score too. “We are yet to concede a goal since the start of the Nawettan season this year.” He emphasised.
Sainey Camara, the Head Coach of Penchaf FC, lamented the lack of clear goal scoring opportunities in the game as his side undoing.
“Nonetheless, we will go back to the training ground and work on it for our next game,” he pointed out.
Star Boys FC has 7 points while Penchaf FC has 4 points.
