Bilbao FC and Badala FC played on Tuesday at the Serekunda West mini stadium and both teams fought for the maximum to collect three points to secure a victory over the opponent team but it was a well-matched affair.
Abdoulie Jobe, the head coach of Badala FC, said that both teams know each other because they hailed from the same Ebou Town Jeshwang end.
“Last year, Bilbao FC defeated us, so this year we came to pay back, but in the end, it was a draw,” he said.
Francis Gomez, the head coach of Bilbao FC, said that their table standing is critical because both teams are fighting for a spot in the next round.
“Both Badala FC and Bilbao FC are currently on 5 points. It was a very tough encounter between the two teams as derbies always expected.
It was a well-comported match as both set players exercised discipline throughout the game,” he said.
