Blackpool FC, Cambel Town Battle Out a stalemate

Blackpool FC and Cambel Town have battled a stalemate in a 1-all draw in an ongoing Serekunda West Sports Development Organisation’s summer rattan. 

The game was played at the Serekunda West mini stadium on Tuesday, 1st October, 2024.

Omar Ndure’s 36-minute goal from the penalty spot gave Cambel Town an advantage and divided the status of the two teams in the first half.

Abdourahman Jallow levelled the score for Blackpool FC in the additional 3 minutes of regulation time.

Blackpool has yet to win a game this season and they lost two games and drew one.

Ismaila Sonko, the head coach of Cambel Town FC, said the match was not bad because their opponent needed it more than them and didn’t see any fault in his boys.

“I am now focusing on winning my next game so that we can collect 8 points from our group,” he stated in an interview with The Voice Newspaper. 

Samuel Leonard, the head coach of Blackpool, refused to grant post-match interviews due to his frustration after the game. 

Cambel Town has 5 points while Blackpool FC has only managed 1 point.
