As 2024/25 Winter Tourism Season BeginsFriday

The Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard) is excited about the upcoming winter tourism season, which will officially kick off this Friday, 11th October 2024.
The Board will welcome the first chartered flights for the season from various source markets, starting October 11th, beginning with Titan’s maiden flight from the UK, scheduled to land at Banjul International Airport (BIA) with 183 pax(passenger). Titan will operate four times a week through the season.
TUI Holland will have its official maiden flight on the 14th and 17th of October respectively with 189 Pax and the flight frequency is 3 times a week.
On 26th October, the board will officially receive another TUI maiden flight but this time will be from Belgium. TUI Belgium frequency is twice a week with 189 Pax capacity. Also, on 29th October, Tap Portugal’s maiden flight will land at the Banjul International Airport with 167 Pax and it will be 3 times a week.
However, on November 1, Titan Eastern Europe, Corendon TUI UK maiden flights from its respective countries will all land in The Gambia, Smiling Coast but at different times, and their pax are 189, 220, 189 and their frequency flights to the Destination is 2, 3 and 4 times a week respectively.
Meanwhile, TUI Germany’s maiden flight, too, is November 1, frequency of flights to the destination will be daily with 3rd part carriers with Turkish Airlines/SN/TAP with 1000 pax for the period,
Also, the Nova Tours maiden flight is November 1 its frequency to the destination is 3 times a week with Turkish Airlines with 620 Pax for the tourism season.
The latest maiden-chartered flight, Apollo, will be received by the Gambia Tourism Board on 5th November with 160 Pax onboard its frequency is once a week.
However, as per the flight operations outlook for the 2024/2025 tourism season obtained by this medium, the total chartered flights per week is 24 flights excluding the 3rd part carrier of TUI Germany and Nova Tours while the total flights for scheduled flights per week is 33 and the total flights per week for 2024/2025 at the Banjul International Airport is 57 flights.
