An alleged cattle thief Amadou Bailo Barry appeared before Magistrate A. Fofana of the BrikamaMagistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Amadou Bailo was charged with “cattle stealing”contrary to section 225 of the Criminal Code, Cap 10:01, Vol. lll of the Laws of The Gambia.
According to court records, Amadou Bailo on or about 23 September2024, at Brikama New Town, West Coast Region of the Republic of The Gambia, stole a she-goat valued at D5,000.00, being the property of BintaGassama.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in sum of D6,000.00. As a bail condition, he must provide one Gambia surety, who shall depose to an affidavit of means.
The matter was adjourned to on 22 October 2024.
