A London Corner resident Sulayman Camara was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate B. Sowe of the KanifingMagistrates’ Court for “possession” of 1g and 321mg of Cannabis Sativa.
According to the particulars of the offense, Sulayman on or about 14 September 2023, at London Corner in the KanifingMunicipality, was apprehended with 1g and 321mg of Cannabis Sativa without a valid license and thereby committed an offence.
The accused, however, denied the charge by telling the court that: ‘’They didn’t find anything on me.’’
The prosecution made an application for an adjournment to enable him to secure his witnesses and his application was granted.
Sulayman was granted bail in the sum of D130, 000 with two sureties, who shall deposit their valid national identity card and swear to an affidavit of means.
The matter was then adjourned to Thursday, 31st October, for hearing.
