Jamsai Foundation of Kotu, a charitable organization on Friday donated textbooks, shoes, school bags, and other materials to Bali Mandinka Basic Cycle School of Jokadou, North Bank Region. The presentation was held on the school grounds.
Demba Sanyang presented the learning materials on behalf of the Foundation, saying the donated items are crucial to the students and will contribute to the attainment of quality education.
He advised them to take their learning seriously and be disciplined thus is the key driver towards achieving their educational goal.
He thanked the Foundation for its foresight in its quest to make a difference in the lives of the students and the school.
Suun Drammeh, Principal of Bali Mandinka Basic Cycle School said the donation of the materials would add value to the teaching and learning process adding that the support would benefit 150 students in the form of textbooks, exercise books, pencils, school bags, and shoes which will help them in reading, writing and improve their performance in class.
Madam Drammeh uses the moment to call on parents to support their children and school towards enhancing academic performance.
Highlighting challenges, she said inadequate core textbooks and stationery. The school Principal hailed the generous contribution in complementing the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education’s efforts in promoting all-inclusive participation in the attainment of quality education.
