Confessed cocaine trafficker Adelino Luis Guerra De Silva is expected to know his fate on Friday.
The Brikama Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate A. Fofana, on Monday issued an order for Silva’s remand in custody at the State Central Prison following his plea of guilty to the charges of aggravated drug trafficking. He will remain at Mile II till Friday for the determination of his case.
The prosecution, led by Moses Demba, said Adelino Luis Guerra De Silva was found in possession of 99 pellets of cocaine at the Banjul International Airport on or about 1October 2024. The cocaine, according to court records, weighed 1kg and 100g.
