Unicorns FC defeated Kanifing United in the penalty shootout of the ongoing WAVE knockout preliminary Rounds at Serekunda West Mini Stadium, on Saturday, 26th October 2024.
Kanifing United and Unicorns FC played a nice and interesting game the two teams were fighting and struggling to win but unfortunately, they ended it with a penalty shootout 4-3 in favour of Unicorns FC.
Sheriffo Darboe, the head coach of Unicorns FC said they expected the game not to be easy because they were both in league and WAVE knockout while their opponent is not in the league.
He said his boys have many chances but, in the end, they couldn’t utilize them as a result of over-relaxation at the post, “But it is all part of the game though we will go back to the training ground for rectification.”
Above all, he congratulated them for their efforts.
