Blackpool FC defeated Pipeline FC by a lone goal in the Serekunda West Sports Association’s Wave-Sponsored knockout preliminary rounds on Tuesday, 29th October, 2024.
In what’s described as a high display of talents between the two teams, both sides show strong resistance against the opposition bearing in mind the only result that can help them sail through to next stage is a victory. With both teams missing a plethora of goal scoring chances that came their way, it only took a moment sheer brilliance by Muhammed Bidwell who capitalised on one of the good moments of transition for Blackpool in the 55th minute, eventually securing an important win for his team.
Samuel Leo Manga, the head coach of Blackpool FC, was all joy and praised his side’s efforts in what was obviously a difficult match.
“It was a nice and interesting game. I am encouraging my boys to continue pushing and maintain the spirit and continue to work hard. The only thing affecting us is finishing. We hadmany goal scoring chances, but in the end, we are able to get something. We will work on it to rectify ourselves in training,” he told The Voice newspaper in a post-match exclusive interview.
Abdoulie Badjie, the unhappy head coach of Pipeline, didn’t grant an interview to the media as he was obviously pained by the defeat.
