The prime suspect in the shooting of three Police Intervention Unit (PIU) officers, Ousainou Bojang,
who is also accused of killing constables Pateh Jallow and Sang J. Gomez, is expected to give his defense over the allegations levelled against him.
Bojang is also accused shooting Constable Ancy Jawo, who sustained serious injuries.
Ousinou Bojang has been separately charged with murder and his alleged female co-conspirator Amie Bojang is also separately charged with a single count of accessory to murder contrary to Section 202 of the Criminal Code, Cap 10:01, Volume III of the Laws of The Gambia (2009).
It could be recalled that the duo was arraigned before magistrate Omar Jabang of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on 21 September 2023.
Following the hearing of the testimonies of 13 prosecution witnesses, Ousainou is expected to enter his defensetomorrow.
