The duo of Gibril Badgie and Sainey Jatta yesterday, appeared before Magistrate A. Fofana of Brikama Magistrates’ Court on charges of “Conspiracy and Stealing.”
Prosecutor Buteh Sawaneh who represented the Inspector General of Police in the matter alleged that Gibril Badgie and Sainey Sanneh, sometime in October 2024, at Darsilamehvillage, Kombo Central, conspired among themselves to commit felony therein to wit: stealing, and thereby committed an offense by jointly stealing a cow valued at D45, 000.00 being the property of Soucouto Badgie, thereby committed an offense.
Gibril and Sainey both pleaded not guilty on both counts, prompting the prosecution who did not object to bail for the accused persons, to apply for an adjournment to enable him to secure the presence of PW1.
The court granted application and the two accused were admitted to bail with two Gambian sureties in the sum of D50,000 each. The matter was adjourned to 19th December 2024, for hearing from PW1.
