The National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) has announced that its newly-installed Borehole 19 at Nema Suwas vandalized on Sunday.
NAWEC said in a press release that it has notified the authorities about the incident and that investigation into the matter has begun.
“NAWEC regrets to inform the public that newly installed BH19 (Borehole 19) at Nema Su was vandalized last night. The matter has been reported to the authorities and the police are currently conducting investigations,” the release stated.
“As a result of this unfortunate incident, water supply to Nema Su and parts of Sukuta will be interrupted while our team works diligently to restore normal service. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and assured our commitment to resolving this issue promptly,’’ added the release.
