Alleged Robbers Arraigned

Two alleged robbers Pa Jobe and Modou Loppy were on Thursday arraigned before Principal Magistrate Sallah M’baiof the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

The duo was charged with two counts of robbery.

Pa and Modou stand accused of conspiring among themselveson or about 19 November 2024, at Kololi in the KanifingMunicipality, to forcefully and with violence steal D27, 000.00 and a mobile phone from one Ezeh Chima.

They denied the charges.

The prosecution applied for adjournment to secure its witnesses and did not object to a bail for the accused as the offence allegedly committed is bailable.

Principal magistrate M’bai then granted the two accused persons D50, 000.00 bail and each must provide one Gambian surety, who shall deposit their valid national identity card or passport, to the registrar of court and shall depose to a sworn affidavit of means. 

The matter was adjourned for the commencement of thehearing.
