“On the day of our Congress meeting, I was assigned to go and transport people to the venue. On getting back to the meeting venue, I met my elder brother Lamin, who asked me to take him along,” testified Adama.

“We were on our way when this woman [the accused person]came out from the Alkalo’s compound and said “Adama, you don’t know yourself, you are the one who insults my brother Sanna Sabally. Lamin told me let’s go but I refused and insisted that I want to ask how did I insult Sanna Sabally. That’s how she ran and slapped me,” he adduced.

Adama testified that he reported the matter to the police, who eventually arrested Sarjo Sabally.

Upon completion of Adama’s testimony, the prosecution applied for an adjournment to bring in the second prosecution witness and made no objection to bail for the accused

Magistrate Fofana granted the application and adjourned the matter to 2 January 2025. Sarjo was granted bail in the sum of D50,000 and must have two sureties as a bail requirement.
