Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, has urged Gambians to turn a blind eye to those he described as “defective people’’ in the Diaspora, who are bent on castigating and spreading false information about the Barrow administration.
The minister said The Gambia is lucky to have Adama Barrow who, he added, possesses all characteristics of a good leader and is working tirelessly for the development of the country which, according to him, is difficult to get anywhere around the world.
“Let us not listen to those spreading false information. They have not succeeded in achieving anything. They do not have any plans. They are obsessively bad citizens of the country. Some of them do not even have cash power in The Gambia. These are the kind of people who are living on ‘’social’’-governments’ monthly financial provision to the unemployed class. These are the people making nonsense utterances on social media. Don’t listen to them,’’ Dr. Ceesay stated duringa community meeting in Kuloro in Kombo East on Tuesday as part of the President’s Meet the People Tour.
He stated that the working class in the diaspora, who aregoing on with their daily routines, are not engaged in “senseless utterances” on social media.
Minister Ceesay called on Gambians to work hand in glove with President Barrow to continue his “unprecedented”development, adding that this government has outshone all its predecessors.
