The Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG), a charitable organization based in Belgium reaffirmed their total commitment in building brighter future for their sponsor students in The Gambia.
The Belgian friends made these strong comments last week as they wrap-up their distribution of a fully loaded 40-foot container to their sponsors’ students within West Coast Region and Kanifing Municipality.
The organization is presently sponsoring over 300 students from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to senior secondary school and training centers within in the country.
Mr. Patrick de Vos, the chairman of the Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) said this year, they came with eight (8) professionals in the fields of nursing, IT and teaching while others are retired civil workers from various fields.
According to Mr. de Vos, during their two weeks stayed in The Gambia, they inspected their school projects and visit some students within their localities who are under their sponsorship for the past years.
According to Mr. Patrick, his organization members are ready to continue helping the future leaders of The Gambia in order to have brighter future that would better their life career as well as preparing them to become good.
Mr. Patrick also informed that during their two weeks stayed in the country, they distributed over 300 bags of rice and 50 footballs to their sponsor students at school level.
The following schools and health facility are under their sponsorship Jambangjelly Nursery, Lower Basic and 1Upper Basic Schools, Siffoe Lower and Upper Basic Schools, New Yundum Lower Basic School and New Yundum Health Center all in region two, West Coast Region.
And also, at Bakoteh Senior Secondary School, Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School, Bakoteh Proper Lower Basic School, Nyodema Nursery School, Latri-kunda Upper Basic School and St. Therese’s Lower Basic School all within the Kanifing Municipality (KM).
