Ron Mango FC won the Bakau Sports Development Association’s Ciderela –Sponsored League final on Sunday, 8th December 2024.
In what’s described as a highly contested league final, the Ron Mango FC side got the better of Vidar FC after a brilliant lone goal from Ebrima Cham in the 65th minute, which eventually secured an important win.
Abdoulie Jammeh, the head coach of Ron Mango, said that they played very well, they were prepared for it because they were defeated at the knockout but his boys promised him that they would give their best to win the league trophy, which they have fulfilled.
He stated that in their previous final, their morals were a bit down, but fortunately, this time, they did well and played a nice game against their opponent, especially during the second half.
“During the first half, we lacked concentration, and we were not focusing much, but when we came back to the second, we rectified our shortfalls.”
Lamin Jammeh, the head coach of Vidar FC, said that it was a hard-luck game for his side, but the boys did well by giving it all, unfortunately, this is how it ended and they must accept it.
“I am encouraging my boys to continue working hard because most of them are very young players. They can still do it in the future.
Ebrima Jammeh, the head coach of Vidar, was awarded the best coach of the year, and his team won the most disciplined team of the year.
Ebrima Cham, a player of Ron Mango, was awarded the Golden Boot winner lead and the man of the match.
