Court Issues Order for Remand of FuelThief At Mile II

The Brikama Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate K.B Sambou, on Wednesday ordered the remand in custody of a certain Ebrima Ceesay at the State Central Prison following his admission of guilt for diesel fuel theft.

Court records stated that Ebrima on or about 12 December 2024, at Badjie Estate in Banjulinding, stole 20 litres of diesel fuel from a motor vehicle with the registration number BJL 8892 L. The fuel was valued at D1,600.00, being the property of Muhammed Faal.

Following the accused person’s plea of guilty to the charge, I. Chorr, representing the Inspector General of Police, applied for an adjournment for narration of the facts of the matter.

The court granted the prosecution’s application and the matterwas, therefore, adjourned to 24 December 2024, for the narration of the facts and sentencing. 

Meanwhile, the court ordered for the remand in custody of Ebrima at Mile II till the resumption of the case.
