The Brikama Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered for the remand in custody of Ansumana Badjie and Ensa Jarra at Mile II for stealing a borehole pumping machine.
The particulars of the offense read that Ansumana and Ensa on or about 9 December 2024, at Basori village, conspired amongst themselves to steal a borehole pumping machine. The machine valued at 150 euros or D10,200.00, was the property of Kamburama Saidy.
Following the accused persons’ plea of guilty to the charges, E.M. Jallow, representing the Inspector General Of Police, applied for an adjournment for facts narration.
The court granted the application, and the matter was adjourned to 24 December 2024, for narration of the facts and sentencing.
An order was issued by the court for the remand of the accused persons, pending the resumption of the case.
